Tagaytay Midlands Trip

Tagaytay Midlands is a part of the Tagaytay Highlands. It is situated at around a mountain overlooking Taal Lake and the rest of nearby cities. It has a 24-hour security guards on duty with a distinguishable gesture everytime you passed each gates. You can also find condominiums, clubhouses and golf course inside.
We stayed in this house for two nights and two days. This is own by my friend's aunt. And a male caretaker is the only one in when we arrived. There are few people in the neighborhood maybe because people only go here for vacation. Even if you left the door open, it's very safe!
At the back of the house, you can see the entire view of Taal. Imagine waking up every mornibg with this epic view! Magsasawa ka talaga!

Below is a very nice set-up that is located near the front door. It's very Asian inspired.
Upon entering the front door you will see a stairway leading either up to the bed and entertainment area or down to the kitchen, living room and pool area.
This is the pool area and I think it is just 5 feet deep. A cabana is also present for a relaxing view or sleep outside. We also played board games here on our first night to keep everyone awake.

The entertainment area. We slept here because there is only one electric fan. It's a bit hot when the sun rises. We also watched DVDs here.

The small dining area and the living room. Different furnitures are present but they compliment one another.
The living room is surrounded by huge glass windows and it will lead to the pool area.

The kitchen area. We had Tuna/Maling Carbonara for dinner with toasted bread and chocolate chips.
I love this swinging chair! It's my favorite part of the house. And with me is Kiko's Diana F+.
Before heading back to Manila, we had ice cream at The Coffee Beanery in Summit Ridge. We ask kuya waiter to take our picture.

Thank you guys for this wonderful and unforgettable trip!
Thanks Kiko for accommodating us!
Thanks Joms for the pizza!
Thanks Melvz and Mhigz for the cash!
Thanks Jenn and Mon for the ice cream and biscochi!

'til next trip! ♥♥♥

One CPA at Brooklyn Pizza

First, I would like to congratulate Charles Jomar AliƱo for being a certified public accountant! So, what do we want?!... Pizza!

We had a customized four different favors of pizza - deluxe, porko, 3 cheese and pepperoni and mushroom.
The average of the combined price of the pizzas is the amount that is paid.
This branch is located at Robinson's Ermita. And when our tummy is very happy, my personal favorite is the 3 cheese! Their pizza is a bit thin but very flavorful.
It's a CPA slice! =)

Italian finds at Uno Pizzeria and Sbarro

After feasting on fro-yos, Putee and I turned Italian. Can you guess why? We ate pizzas and pasta

Uno Pizzeria is located at San Miguel by the Bay. We only ordered a 10” Cheeseburger pizza and a pitcher of iced blue lemonade. I ordered the drinks because of its color. Haha! I love blue. The pizza is too small for our appetite while the pitcher of drink is too big that we left it quarter-filled.

Our tummy was not fulfilled yet so we head on to Sbarro. Putee saw the Supreme pizza so he didn’t even think twice to order it because of its many toppings. I wanted pasta that time so I went for Baked Ziti with cheese sauce.

Putee’s pizza was a bit burned and I didn’t finish my pasta because the cheese sauce was a little like margarine taste to me. This is my second time at Sbarro and also the second time that I was not able to finish my pasta. Maybe their pasta is not my preference. I’ll just stick to their pizzas anyway.

Red Mango-licious Baby!

This food trip is super unplanned. Hahaha! I called Putee and ask if he could come to MOA. At first he was a bit mad because he was just “bagong gising.” I came early and knowing that Putee would come, I waited about two hours long since he was from Bulacan. I smiled when I saw him finally entering the front entrance of National Bookstore (kabisado niya yon kaya sabi niya sakin doon nalang kami magkita).

First stop, we rushed to Red Mango to try their fro-yo and waffles. Unlike White Hat, Red Mango offers four sizes of tubs. Putee ordered large sized fro-yo with three toppings—mandarin oranges, mangoes and strawberries.

As for me, I was really craving for their waffles so I opt for blueberries ‘n cream waffles with fro-yo on the side. You have to wait for about 10 minutes because their waffles are freshly baked.

The waffles are good for sharing and you have to eat them fast because I find them crunchy at first. Putee also told me that he liked Red Mango better than White Hat because it’s not so sour. Hahaha! Napansin pa niya yon?!

32nd month misadventures!

happy 32nd month to us!...=D

Putee and I celebrated our 32nd month together at MOA. I planned what we will do and where we will go and eat. Unfortunately, everything was a series of misfortune. Upon arriving at MOA we started to look for the resto that we will be eating. After a couple of minutes, we noticed that the resto closed some time ago. We were so hungry because it’s I think 1:30pm. I can also feel that Putee is a little mad because he is not talking much and it’s very hot outside the mall. So, we took another stroll and finally decided to eat at Carver’s. We ordered their good for two menus which is consists of roast beef, beef soup, rice and drinks. Putee enjoyed the soup a lot. Their serving is huge that we have to order extra rice.

Next stop for dessert, we tried White Hat frozen yogurt rather than the usual Dairy Queen ice cream we used to crave. I told Putee to choose what toppings he likes and he chose the Cowboy Hat Combo. It’s a large serving of frozen yogurt topped with brownie fudge, barquillos, and dark choco drops. The sweetness of the toppings goes perfectly with the sourness of the yogurt. I thought that he wouldn’t like it because we always pick ice cream for dessert.

Since it is Palm Sunday, we went to the church to attend the mass. I didn’t know that the mass will start at 5:30pm and we were so early because I assume that there is a 4pm mass.

Sadly, after strolling around the mall, we noticed that there is also Red Mango. I really wanted to try their waffle and Putee promised me that we will try it the next time we go to MOA. I hope that would be on Tuesday. HAHA!

So much for our misadventures, Putee told me not to plan anymore because it was a little disaster.

dad's and putee's birthday!

happy birthday daddy!...
Dad turned 52 last February 23 and i have him a petite white forest from Red Ribbon!

Here's mom with the cake and at the background we're singing "happy birthday." My cousins too, from Vietnam are also singing while looking at the cake through Skype.

Down here is Putee's cake in caramel cream from Aggy's.

I've been to Magallanes, Makati just to buy this then went North to Bulacan. When I was about to board the jeepney, a man unintentionally push off the cake from a bench where I put it. As you can see the cake is a bit messier. Good thing the icing is not so soft.

I cooked Carbonara for Putee and his whole family enjoyed it! We don,t have more pix. I was shy to take pictures that day.
happy 2oth birthday Putee!...=D
